Have you been diagnosed with  type 2 diabetes?

It's often a shock when individuals are diagnosed and can lead to  emotional impacts, information overload, dietary changes, medication management and blood glucose monitoring.
We are here to help make sure that you get the information that you need to live well with type 2 diabetes.
By talking to your doctor, you can be referred to our credentialled diabetes educator (CDE) under team care arrangements where your consultation may be subsidised with Medicare. Private patients are also welcome to attend our clinic.

How can a CDE help you?

Support

Empowering individuals with type 2 diabetes by providing personalised guidance on managing blood glucose, making healthy lifestyle choices, understanding medications, and promoting self-care for long-term well-being and confidence.

Blood Glucose Monitoring

Regular blood glucose monitoring helps support nutrition decisions, lifestyle changes and treatment adjustments. Understanding your blood glucose targets can reduce complications and improve outcomes.

Nutrition

Nutrition plays a crucial role in managing type 2 diabetes. A balanced diet rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables helps control blood glucose and promotes overall health.

Movement

Regular movement can significantly improve enhancing insulin sensitivity, reducing blood sugar levels, and promoting weight management. It also benefits overall health, including heart and mental well-being.
